What is Lo Shu Grid?

Lo shu grid is a square-shaped grid with 3 rows and 3 columns. 1 to 9 numbers are placed in the 3 rows and 3 columns of the Loso grid. Numbers are arranged in such a way that by adding any three numbers: horizontally, vertically or diagonally, the sum equals “15.” Lo shu grid is also known as Magic or Sacred Square in Chinese Numerology.

History of Lo Shu Grid

Lo shu grid is a part of Chinese Numerology. The origin of the Lou shu grid is about 4000 years old. There was a Hwang-Ho river in China that used to experience floods regularly. People in the nearby areas were troubled because of the devastating floods. They used to think it was a result of a curse by God/Goddess. The mythical Emperor of Wu-of-Hsia was determined to find a way to control the floods. One day, he passed by the river and saw a shell of a tortoise in the river. On the shell, a 3*3 grid was engraved. The perfect 3*3 square came to be called as Lu shu grid or the Lo shu grid.
